Shopify-only SEO: the technical base, the collection pages that earn revenue, and the content and links that push them up.

Menus and collections based on how the team thinks about products, not how buyers search for them.
URLs change, pages get cut, copy is removed for a cleaner look, and organic revenue falls the week after launch.
A grid of products with no copy, no FAQ and no internal links. Nothing for Google to rank.
Twenty apps installed at launch to add features the theme already had, each one adding JavaScript.
Years of rankings on the old platform thrown away because nobody mapped old URLs to new ones.
Brands moving off Amazon paste listing bullets into product pages. It reads like a marketplace, not a brand.
We map buyer keywords to collections, products, guides and pages before any design work starts.
A well-built Online Store 2.0 theme customized to your brand, or custom sections where the catalog needs them.
Metafields for specs, collection templates with room for copy and FAQs, schema in Liquid, and a speed budget.
Product and collection copy written for search, old URLs mapped to new ones and redirects imported before launch.
Crawl the staging theme, test redirects, check indexability, submit sitemaps in Search Console.
Daily checks on 404s, coverage and rankings in the weeks after launch, with fixes shipped the same day.
Our biggest wins came from structure: 360+ pages built around how buyers search, for a brand with only 30 products.
Look on page one. Google shows you exactly what it rewards. If the top results for your main keywords are collection pages, your store needs matching collections. If they are guides, you need guides. We build the site map from that research, so the menu reflects how buyers search and every important keyword has one page built to rank for it.
For most brands a well-built Online Store 2.0 theme, customized properly, beats a fully custom theme. It is cheaper to maintain, gets updates and supports sections on every page. We add custom sections where the catalog needs them, such as spec comparison tables, buying guide modules and collection FAQs, and keep the app stack small.
Shopify URLs are fixed: /collections/, /products/, /pages/ and /blogs/. You can't nest collections in the URL, so structure comes from navigation, internal links and breadcrumbs. Products reached through a collection can show a /collections/x/products/y URL, which themes canonicalize to /products/y. We make sure internal links point at the canonical version.
Shopify's URL redirects only fire when the old URL returns a 404, and they can be imported in bulk by CSV. Migrations commonly lose traffic when redirects are mishandled. We map every old URL that has traffic, links or rankings to its closest new equivalent before launch. For platform moves, see migration SEO.
Many of our clients sold on Amazon first. Their own Shopify store needs brand copy, native English and trust pages that a marketplace never asked for. See how we work with Chinese brands and high-ticket brands.
The order of work. We do keyword research and map it to collections, products and guides before anyone designs a page. Templates are built with room for collection copy, FAQs, specs and schema, and the app stack is kept small for speed. Redirects are planned before launch. The result is a store that can rank from day one instead of being fixed later.
We can, but we usually recommend a well-built Online Store 2.0 theme customized with your branding and custom sections where needed. It costs less to maintain and receives updates. A fully custom theme makes sense when your catalog or brand needs something no theme handles well. Either way, the SEO structure is the same.
It can if URLs change without redirects or if content that ranked gets removed. We crawl the current store, record every URL with traffic, links or rankings, and map it to the new structure before launch. Content that ranks is kept or improved. After launch we monitor 404s, coverage and rankings daily for the first weeks.
It depends on the size of the catalog, the number of markets and whether content and data are being migrated from another platform. A small catalog on an existing theme moves faster than a multi-market store with thousands of SKUs. We give you a timeline after scoping, with keyword research and the site map delivered first.
Yes. Migration is a large part of what we do, and the redirect map is the part that protects your rankings. We cover moves from WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Amazon-first setups. See our migration SEO pages for the details of each platform.
